- Solar Energy: Over 90% of the energy we use comes from our solar panels, and we aim for 100% self-sufficiency by 2026. By staying with us, you’re helping reduce our carbon footprint.
- Water Conservation & Quality: The Algarve region faces frequent droughts, so we’re mindful of water usage. We limit shower times in our dorms, use filtered water, and have a saltwater pool, which is kinder to both the environment and your skin.
- Recycling & Reusing: We’re committed to recycling as much as possible and even find creative ways to repurpose materials. We encourage you to share any ideas to give new life to waste!
- Local, Fresh Food: We grow our own vegetables and herbs, which make their way into our healthy breakfast offerings. Supporting local food is not only good for the planet but also for your taste buds.
- Eco-Friendly Furniture: Our beds are made from renewable materials like cork and wood, giving you a comfortable and sustainable place to rest after a day of surfing.
- Green Transportation: We promote sustainable travel by offering bike and longboard rentals and supporting public transport options to help you get around without relying on cars.
Electrical Car Charging: We offer free electric car charging from 10h00 to 14h00, powered by our solar energy surplus. It’s just one more way we’re reducing emissions and making green travel easier.
